Amy is a graduate of the highly acclaimed Swedish Institute in New York City and has a number of years of career training and experience in the healing arts. Following her graduation, she trained and worked at various upscale spas and salons in New York City. In addition to her massage and bodywork training, Amy earned a Bachelor's degree in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology, and a diploma from Christine Valmy's School of Esthetics. Amy is an Associated Polarity Practitioner and is certified in LaStone Therapy, Pranic Healing, Thai Yoga Massage as well as a Bellanina Facelift Massage Specialist and Teacher.
After 7 years of career training and work experience in New York City, Amy returned to her home-town to build her practice close to her family. She has always had a desire to empower others and has found a passion doing so through teaching. Amy has been a massage therapy instructor since October of 2004. Currently she is one of the core instructors at MTTI (Massage Therapy Training Institute), the oldest massage school in Kansas City, teaching various classes such as spa techniques and Eastern bodywork modalities; just to name a few. She has also written and developed the curriculum and courses offered in the Spa and Resort Program. I have been a licensed Massage Therapist and Esthetician for over 10 years and an Educator for 3 years and I am truly blessed to be in the field of Wellness.
